Aotearoaland

I formed and use the concept of Aotearoaland as a device to meld the paradigms of New Zealand and Aotearoa at a place where the most positive energies of our land might become visible.

 

Aotearoaland is a place where I can, through my art put forward my ideas openly as discussion documents and statements of possibility and understanding.

All concepts such as nationhood have poles where extremes live but they also have a middle ground and I imagine Aotearoaland as the middle ground of all Kiwis. Aotearoaland is a compromise which might enable the best of Maori and Pakeha to meld and form what all marriages of peoples can do, grow as a better single entity, an evolutionary event rather than a reason for discord and loss.
So, my website is in a way, is Aotearoaland where I can be free enough to even create a flag which enables me to speak of my hopes and aspirations for us all.
